Tropicana has been apart of the
Elizabeth community for many years now, they have committed service to serving
our community different foods an array of different desert options. Over of the
course of the past 3 months we have observer their management information
system. Tropicana uses a system called
Aldelo for restaurants Pro which supports in order taking. Aldelo Pro is a low cost, good quality and
easy-to-use restaurant management software.
Even
though the system Aldelo provides
many advantages, there are areas where Tropicana can improve on such as
Ecommerce fraud, increasing productivity, capacity, and improving quality of
service. With these recommendations, Tropicana will be able to avoid an
information Silo and have their information freely communicate with other
information systems. Also, Tropicana
will be able to use new software which will prevent the sharing of customer’s
personal information which will help with building trust amongst their
customers. With all the date processed and stored in one place it will be easy
to access. Tropicana has also built up their social media value, by incorporating
themselves into the community and having a pleasant array of items on there
menu.
Tropicana
follows focus differentiation because the offer a better quality product and
service in the Union/Elizabeth industry segment. Tropicana addresses Bargaining
power of suppliers, rivalry, and threat of substitution. The business process that
we are focused on is the order-fulfillment process because we focus on outbound
logistics, marketing and customer service. All three of these contribute to the
success of Tropicana and without any of them Tropicana can begin to decline. Tropicana
has the potential and structure for the company to continue to thrive and
expand, Tropicana can become a dominating force in this industry once they can make
the necessary improvements.
